How do you walk past this incredible looking vegetable at the supermarket without buying some to bring home, photograph and eat. Romanesco Broccoli is one of the coolest looking plants on the planet. I spent a lot of time as a teenager staring with glazed eyes at fractals.

There were some incredible looking blackberries at Whole Foods that I really wanted to photograph, even though they're out of season.

It's always a pleasure to work at the New York Botanical Gardens, but especially when I'm asked to cover some of the amazing kids programs that include the edible garden and some great chefs. Sometimes you have no idea what a photo shoot is going to entail, but this one turned out to be an absolute riot. I loved working with the cast of "Angry Young Man" and the amazing Director Stephen Hamilton. I can't wait to see the actual show and which photo they chose for the promotion.
I love visiting the Rubin Museum, especially for the incredible food offered by Starr Catering in the Serai Cafe. I'd highly recommend all of the new dishes, especially the pork belly and the octopus.
