Food Photography - White Onion

More work on the light table with a product I'm eating for lunch. I love the white on white and even the reflection on the table. I wouldn't describe myself as a minimalist, but its starting to look that way after the last Coca-Cola post as well. Perhaps I'm a bit of a minimalist when it comes to my food photography.

Product Photography - Coca-Cola

We got a new fridge today and it seemed like a good opportunity to use it as a backdrop for some product photography. I think there's nothing with a more iconic shape in the fridge than a classic Coca-Cola bottle.

I think as a final image I would retouch the date stamp on the neck of the coke bottle.

Food Photography - Roast Garlic

There's nothing better than a whole head of garlic roasted in a hot oven. Every year I grow my own garlic so by this point in the winter I'm normally running low and whats left is desperately in need of eating. Why not take some photos of it on my light table before it gets consumed.

Fine & Rare Restaurant and Bar Interiors

I love seeing new bars and restaurants in New York City open, and its an even greater pleasure to photograph the new spaces. Tommy and his team have done an amazing job designing this high end cocktail bar and restaurant with a beautiful stage. I'm looking forward to getting back there in the coming week to photograph the food and drinks. It looks like they have an incredible selection of spirits. Take a look at their website here - Fine & Rare

I've been working on shooting interiors and open spaces with my iPhone 7 plus. The new camera on the phone does an amazing job and is starting to become usable in low light. The files need a little more processing, but are starting to look useable and can be a fun way to document a new restaurant.

Photo published in New York Times

There's nothing like getting a photo published in the New York Times, especially when it illustrates a feud between two rich celebrities who seem to be ignoring each other. So sad :(

This image was taken for Giuseppe Zanotti on a paid assignment for Getty Images on the final Fashion Night out that happened back in 2011. There were many celebrities that came that evening, but by far the most buzz was around the arrival of Nicki Minaj in her faux Geisha outfit.

City Harvest Event

It's always a pleasure to work with City Harvest and help bring awareness to the campaign of feeding hungry New Yorkers. Their food rescue efforts are unmatched.

Atman

Atman is a Sanskrit word that means inner self or soul. "That which is the finest essence - that this whole world has as its Self. That is Atman. That is Reality. That art thou"
