From the Archives - Kalachakra 2003

In 2002 I left for the Himalayas to live with the Tibetan community in Northern India. I was assigned to work for there Tibet Museum which was part of the Tibetan Government in Exile in Dharamsala, India. As part of that assignment I travelled to Bodhgaya and photographed the Kalachakra ceremony. It was a moment in my life that I will never forget and always be grateful for. This image is of the monks who deliver tea to the hundreds of thousands of devotees. The speed at which they carry the burning hot tea through the crowd is terrifying.
