Office Photos

It takes a lot more planning than people realize to execute an office shoot. I could show up to a work space and stroll around photographing people at their desk, but it generally looks more chaotic that you want, peoples desks are messier than they think and generally when people are working, they don’t want a photographer shoving a camera in their face.

The best office working photos are taken with a small amount of scheduling, setup and lighting, but then getting people to just chat. Talk about something fun, weekend plans or what you’re planning to eat for lunch. Really any topic that gets people relaxed and takes their mind away from the photographer. I find a continuous video light is really important, so I can shoot quietly without strobes going off and distracting the subject.

Eaglefest with

Teatown Eaglefest was moved to February 14 from the weekend before because of the sub zero temperatures and I’m very glad they made the switch. Lots of great wild eagles spotted on the Hudson River.

NYSE Photographer for S&P

Working at the New York Stock Exchange as the house photographer was the beginning of my photography business really changing. Covering events and people on the trading floor is always good. People are very excited to be there. S&P are a great client

Andersen NYSE IPO Group photo in Times Square

Andersen IPO Group photo in Times Square in front of the NYSE Opening Bell billboard.

It was interesting to be on the celebration side only. I didn’t cover any of the NYSE IPO celebration. I was just the photographer in Times Square for a large group photo, then covered a champagne toast back at their office and then went to the management after party near Union Square.
